FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I remove my toy from its packaging?

Many of our toys have plastic stands holding them in place in the packaging. To remove your toy from these stands, remove both screws holding the stand in place with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Please put the screws in a safe place or discard them to ensure your child does not get a hold of them. The stands will easily detach, and then you are ready to begin playing with your toy.

The “try me” function isn’t working?

Sometimes the batteries in the toy become weak after sitting on the shelf at the store and being played with while still in packaging. Please replace the batteries with new ones.

What is your replacement policy?

Nikko Toys products are not under warranty. Defective items should be returned to the original place of purchase. Nikko Toys reserves the right to issue replacements at its discretion.

In the event the original place of purchase will not accept the item Nikko Toys will, at its discretion, attempt to replace the item with proof of purchase. Products must have been purchased within the last 6 months. Nikko Toys requires two proofs of purchase. Proof of purchase includes the original battery cover from the item (to be mailed to our US office), plus one of the following items:

  • A copy of the original purchase receipt.
  • Detailed original photos of the toy in position (excludes photos from the internet etc).
  • The UPC code from the packaging.
Nikko Toys will make every attempt to provide the consumer with the exact make, model and color of the product received.  However, at Nikko Toys’ discretion a different vehicle may be substituted as a replacement.  Please allow 4-6 weeks processing after all proof of purchase has been received.

What should I do if my toy is not working properly?

If your toy is not working properly, please follow these simple steps:

  • Check to make sure the batteries are fresh, and replace them if necessary.
  • Never mix old batteries with new batteries.
  • Check to make sure the battery contacts (+ and -) are correctly matched.
